Homology and cohomology intersection numbers of GKZ systems

We describe the homology intersection form associated to regular holonomic GKZ systems in terms of the combinatorics of regular triangulations. Combining this result with the twisted period relation, we obtain a formula of cohomology intersection numbers in terms of a Laurent series. We show that the cohomology intersection number depends rationally on the parameters. We also prove a conjecture of F. Beukers and C. Verschoor on the signature of the monodromy invariant hermitian form.     

Weak Graph Map Homotopy and Its Applications∗

The authors introduce a notion of a weak graph map homotopy (they call it M-homotopy), discuss its properties and applications. They prove that the weak graph map homotopy equivalence between graphs coincides with the graph homotopy equivalence defined by Yau et al in 2001. The difference between them is that the weak graph map homotopy transformation is defined in terms of maps, while the graph homotopy transformation is defined by means of combinatorial operations. They discuss its advantages over the graph homotopy transformation. As its applications, they investigate the mapping class group of a graph and the 1-order MP-homotopy group of a pointed simple graph. Moreover, they show that the 1-order MP-homotopy group of a pointed simple graph is invariant up to the weak graph map homotopy equivalence.     

Hamiltonian nilpotent saddles of linear plus cubic homogeneous polynomial vector fields

We completely characterize the global phase portraits in the Poincaré disk for all planar Hamiltonian vector fields with linear plus cubic homogeneous terms having a nilpotent saddle at the origin.     

Tensor products of coherent configurations

A Cartesian decomposition of a coherent configuration ✗ is defined as a special set of its parabolics that form a Cartesian decomposition of the underlying set. It turns out that every tensor decomposition of ✗ comes from a certain Cartesian decomposition. It is proved that if the coherent configuration ✗ is thick, then there is a unique maximal Cartesian decomposition of ✗; i.e., there is exactly one internal tensor decomposition of ✗ into indecomposable components. In particular, this implies an analog of the Krull–Schmidt theorem for the thick coherent configurations. A polynomial-time algorithm for finding the maximal Cartesian decomposition of a thick coherent configuration is constructed.     

Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures on Hochschild cohomology of generalized Weyl algebras

We devote to the calculation of Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures on the Hochschild cohomology of skew Calabi–Yau generalized Weyl algebras. We first establish a Van den Bergh duality at the level of complex. Then based on the results of Solotar et al., we apply Kowalzig and Krähmer's method to the Hochschild homology of generalized Weyl algebras, and translate the homological information into cohomological one by virtue of the Van den Bergh duality, obtaining the desired Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures. Finally, we apply our results to quantum weighted projective lines and Podleś quantum spheres, and the Batalin–Vilkovisky algebra structures for them are described completely.     

Some Estimates for $θ$-Type Calderόn–Zygmund Operators and Linear Commutators on Certain Weighted Amalgam Spaces

In this paper, we first introduce some new kinds of weighted amalgam spaces. Then we discuss the strong type and weak type estimates for a class of Calderόn–Zygmund type operators $T_θ$ in these new weighted spaces. Furthermore, the strong type estimate and endpoint estimate of linear commutators $[b, T_θ]$ formed by $b$ and $T_θ$ are established. Also we study related problems about two-weight, weak type inequalities for $T_θ$ and $[b, T_θ]$ in the weighted amalgam spaces and give some results.     

Regularity of Viscosity Solutions of the Biased Infinity Laplacian Equation

In this paper, we are interested in the regularity estimates of the nonnegative viscosity super solution of the $β$−biased infinity Laplacian equation $$∆^β_∞u = 0,$$ where $β ∈ \mathbb{R}$ is a fixed constant and $∆^β_∞u := ∆^N_∞u + β|Du|,$ which arises from the random game named biased tug-of-war. By studying directly the $β$−biased infinity Laplacian equation, we construct the appropriate exponential cones as barrier functions to establish a key estimate. Based on this estimate, we obtain the Harnack inequality, Hopf boundary point lemma, Lipschitz estimate and the Liouville property etc.     

Monge-Ampère Equation with Bounded Periodic Data

We consider the Monge-Ampère equation det $(D^2u) = f$ in $\mathbb{R}^n,$ where $f$ is a positive bounded periodic function. We prove that $u$ must be the sum of a quadratic polynomial and a periodic function. For $f ≡ 1,$ this is the classic result by Jörgens, Calabi and Pogorelov. For $f ∈ C^α,$ this was proved by Caffarelli and the first named author.     

Upper bound of Kähler angles on the β-symplectic critical surfaces

Let (M,g) be a Kähler surface and \mathrm{\Sigma } be a \beta-symplectic critical surface in M. If L_q\left(\mathrm{\Sigma }\right) is bounded for some q>3, then we give a uniform upper bound for the Kähler angle on \mathrm{\Sigma }. This bound only depends on M,q,\beta and the L_q functional of \mathrm{\Sigma }. For q>4, this estimate is known and we extend the scope of q.     

Reaction of 3,3-dichloropentane-2,4-dione with aromatic aldehydes under the conditions of Darzens reaction

3,3-Dichloropentane-2,4-dione reacts with aromatic aldehydes under the conditions of Darzens reaction to give 4-acetoxy-4-aryl-3,3-dichlorobutan-2-ones, the products of insertion into the -C-C bond. The reaction of ethyl dichloroacetylacetate with benzaldehyde yields a derivative of tricyclo[5.1.0.0^3,5]octane, rather than 2,6-bis(1-chlorobenzylidene)cyclohexane-1,4-dione, as the by-product.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
